WEDDING NITE~~

JUNE 5th, 2010
MORNING
Slept late last nite but woke up very early..ivana was already on her way when she called and I barely could open my eyes..my outdoor photoshoot was scheduled 10.00 am at Bukit Cerakah Shah Alam.. my lenses were being such an irk that took me 45 minutes just to slip it on..by the time we arrived at Bukit Cerakah, PHOTOLICIOUS has arrived and the sun was already high..but then again, we found a nice spot to capture the moments and wrap-up at 12.30pm..

There were definitely many people in the house. Neighbors came over to lend a hand, my aunties were sweeping the house, parents were busy entertaining guest, baba was busy with org khemah and caterer..i rested in the room and stared at all the dulang2 hantaran..9 trays in total..even though uncle din resorted with artificial flowers but they turn out to be very presentable and sweet..black and gold..

Actually I was very cantankerous and upset with the pelamin..Butik Chanteq assembled the pelamin yesterday during mid-day at 12.30pm and the weather was damn hot..i settled with fresh flowers so how would fresh flowers survive that long?? They didn’t even soaked the sponge and told us to continually spray water…the description during discussion sounded very va-va vooom and i did expected more..when they assembled the pelamin, i did complained a lot bcoz i was very very aghast with the outcome..it really looked very boxy, the polystyrene crafting & colours were not symmetrical, they did not gave me the cleopatra sofa as i wanted..and they got the guts to say that "this is what u ordered"....I don’t want to be bothered by this but it really REALLY made me mengamuk..luckily they did made an effort to buy a new cleopatra sofa...but then again, i hated my pelamin and no thanks to Kak Laili….
AFTERNOON
Melisa who also did the hantaran came to the rescue and assembled new set of flowers..i had to pay her extra rm1k just for the flowers..Kak Laili said that she’ll be using imported fresh flowers..to my surprise, only 1/3 of them were imported while the rest were locals….i was really disgruntled…….anyhow, everything was sorted out by mama and she constantly keep asking me to calm down and rest in my room...i barely had enough sleep and rest..and i refuse to eat anything bcoz i wanna keep my tummy flat..

I made this myself

NITE
The groom was expected to arrive and stand-by at the Masjid At-Taqwa right after Maghrib prayer.. while waiting for them, I couldn’t stop taking shoots in the room..those who were early got the chance to meet me in my room and take photo with the bride..the funny thing was, I was definitely towering everyone else..once the groom arrived, we bersanding, merenjis and ate at the main table..thanx to baba, we had the best caterer that could ever be found..we had a butler! Normally the waiters would just leave you once you’re seated and expect you to reach the foods by yourselves..then we cut the wedding cake (which I felt totally cheated………..i hated the cake) and basically it was over………..the nite lasted with us taking photos with guests and thanking those who came..
Penat penat…but then again…once in a life time bebeh…

SOLEMNIZATION NITE~~

JUNE 4th, 2010
Solemnization is made compulsory to all Muslims in building the mosque of matrimony and I am definitely not exceptional from it. The occasion is simple but the preparation is tedious and you must be mull about it. Uncle din and I went to Jabatan Agama Islam Sec.10, Shah Alam to settle all the forms and documents..marrying a kelantanese did not make things easier for me too..uncle din had to return to Kelantan to obtain Kelantan’s verification that he is a Kelantanese..little bit of advise: it is much easier if you are marrying someone from Selangor rather than other states..
I hired PHOTOLICIOUS as my official photographers and Shamnina Omar aka Kak Nina as my mak andam. Both came early and we had a lot of time for preparations..my girlfriends arrived early too especially Nadia; the bridesmaid..while waiting for Maghrib prayer, we were shooting photos in the room and I just cant wait to get it over it..the occasion took place at Masjid At-Taqwa Subang Permai..my girlfriends were there: Golek, Nonik, Nanok, Nadia, Haslinda..as I sat down, once again I was clinging on to Golek.. I asked her to stay by my side and I kept holding her hand all the time…..i was very nervous..uncle din looked really calm and suci murni too…his face was soo clean (he shaved his moustache and little beard) that he look sooooooooo young! Aiyoyooo….i on the other hand looked very matured especially with the makeup on..what a contrast..

Most important moment of all

the gurls; nanok's fren, nonik, nanok, golek, nadiah and haslinda
Once the main agenda was done, we went back to my home which was only a few walks away..i managed to get some rest in my room with the gurls…it was very funny and lovely hanging out with them..this was the 1st time in my life I ever wore a contact lenses and I only practice for 2 days..so while we were in the room, my eyes were very itchy and the lenses keep moving..at one point, I even said “haaa…baru clear..” but the gurls looked very stunned….apparently the one of the lenses slip out of proportion and went under my eyelid..Nanok help me to amend it and it became itchy again…
When everyone has arrived at the house, I was asked to get on the pelamin and sat on a huge pillow..uncle din and I exchanged rings, I kissed his hand, he kissed my forehead and pose pose pose…. Jelita came over a little late but better late than never…newly weds Kak Linni and Epul also made it for the nite..only my 2nd bro Zeffi came very late..he said Baby Lea was cranky and they couldn’t leave until she was settled..watevaaaaa….

Most importantly, I had a great time…1 down, 2 more to go…

ENGAGEMENT DAY~~

MAY 1st, 2010
I couldn’t sleep the nite before as I was very anxious for the engagement ceremony. All these while I’ve been accompanying my friends but this time: it is my turn..i really couldn’t believed it. I went to Loreal Hair Saloon at Sec. 9 to groom my hair. My hair is sooo wayward so I wanted to look good..by the time I reached home, Ivana was on her way and managed to arrive just at the nick of time..

Her makeup was very good..i was very surprise that she actually did a good job with me because in previous events, she always had trouble to makeover my face. Apparently she just couldn’t get it right with my features. I admit that my features are soo unlikely the Malay conventional features. But then again, everyone is beautiful in its own way as Allah has created..

Ivana Mas Ayu aka Uchu Mas
Ivana just finished helping me with the outfit when Golek said “wantan, it is time..” Subhanallah…. I went outside and was very damn nervous..all eyes were on me..ME..as I sat down, I gripped hold of Golek and asked her to stay by my side..that is what Golek is for after all..always there by my side..ALWAYS..
Later they asked me to sit on the couch and my future MIL sat beside me to slip on the ring.. speaking of the ring, it was personally picked by my father..you see, my father is really one of a kind..he may be a Professor Dcotor by career but then again he is very avid when it comes to fashion, baking, cooking, home deco, self-grooming etc..you name it..he always have an analytical comment and idea..he would scrutinize everything upon decision..so the ring? Was his choice..

Everything went smoothly, I did not ate even after the ceremony was over..jaga badan.. ;) we took photos and had a great day..later that nite, uncle din and I keep telling ourselves “tak percaya kita dah bertunang sayang……”

his vs mine - thanx Mell!

V'day - chicken pox - Labour day

FEBRUARY 2010

I remembered having dinner with Abg Ai 2 weeks before Valentine’s Day..at this moment, im  no longer referring him as Abg Ai but Uncle Din..we had dinner at section 7 after accompanying to Klinik Alam Medic Sec.7..he said he had some rashes and it was very itchy…while we were dining, I stared at the rashes and I noticed that it looks very odd and I asked “is that a chicken pox??” the next day he went to another clinic and was confirmed to have chicken pox!
How did he break the news to me? “ayang, im in the bus otw to Kelantan…I confirm ader chicken pox..” my goodness…..we were scheduled to be engaged in 2 weeks time on Valentine’s Day and he has chicken pox……he stayed in Kelantan for 10 days and did not want to cling on the phone for too long… upon his return, he did not want to meet me as he was embarrassed with the scars…but I insisted and thank God the scars weren’t bad at all….it did gave me the scare that his face might turn out to be hideous…im glad it wasn’t bad at all….
MAY 2010
My dad adjourned the engagement ceremony and we held it on 1st May instead…oh well…at least the flowers were cheaper…besides, I just love having fresh flower for the dulang2 hantaran…not into artificial flowers..
My dear pet sister Ivana aka Uchu Mas did the makeup..i looked pretty damn good..well, I don’t have an exotic look so looking pretty once in a while did make me feel good about myself..and oh..i made a promise to uncle din that the engagement would be the last day of being free hair..the next day I embark a journey as a Muslimah fulfilling her obligation to wear a veil / hijab…

1st step to a holy matrimony life

November 2009
This was the happiest month in my life..
1.       Two of my BFF; Golek and Nonik planned a surprise birthday party
2.       I resign from my post as a project engineer with Cobrain Holdings Sdn Bhd (a construction company)
3.       My father asked me to get married…
Abg Ai and I weren’t actually ready as we were not stabile yet…but then again, my dad does have a point...im not getting any younger at im at my right age..when I asked him “when do you plan to have the ceremony?” he said “by june 2010”……Subhanallah………im left with 6 months of preparation and tons of kilos to shed…..my father is a very conventional man..he wants to go thru all the conventional steps:- merisik è bertunang è nikah è sanding…….
So, Abg Ai’s family came over and merisik at my previous home (sec. 11, shah alam) by end of January 2010 and we got engaged by 01/05/2010..

My reaction afterwards

The end to a new beginning

NOVEMBER 2008

i began my journey after SPM 2001 by registering to UiTM Sri Iskandar, Perak whereby i took Computer Science (CS 110)..i hated the course...i never wanted to do any CS or IT related subjects......i hated it... being the only daughter in the family does carry a lot of burden..my mother said she does not want her only daughter to be an electrical engineer just like my 2 elder brothers and my dad....but then again, i am daddy's girl after all.... ;)

after failing 2 subjects (C++ and accountancy) with a pointer of 2.93 / 4.00, my parents finally agreed to register me in electrical engineering UiTM Shah Alam....after 3 years of battling the course, i managed to graduate with 3.00 ++ and enabled myself to pursue a degree in the same field...

i began my degree immediately and decided to turn my life around..instead of being a book worm, i wanted more in life...i wanted to be someone...so, this is how it started......

1st day of registration, everyone was gathered at the main hall with the presence of Dean; Dr Yusof as our VIP...apparently, the lecturers knew me very well (because of my dad) so i was asked to host the occasion and be the emcee...and that was the beginning of everything in my life......after the occasion, a lecturer asked me a favour to represent my batch to be interviewed by the Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM)...the interview was done with a group of 6 people representing each batch....that was when i met the president of IEEE UiTM Student Branch..

the point of telling all of these is that i ended up graduated with 3.00 ++ and was made an exemplar with an accolade from the faculty...but having said all that, one person was not impressed at all with me and was not bothered by all the accolades…Abg Ai…and why is that so? It is because he was absent during the orientation where I was the emcee and he couldn’t care less for me…and because of this, it triggered me to be friends with him….

Abg Ai aka Uncle Din

November 2008 was the month where I finally completed by my thesis and the end to a whole new beginning…..Abg Ai and I grew closed and we remained together until the very last day with UiTM…..

Our Convocation day

1st step to a new addiction

hello everyone..

all these while i was never bothered to create my own blog until recently when i am required to browse others, i started to realize the meaning of possessing one..people post interesting events in their life which makes me ponder; is my life interesting to be shared with others? which leads to; is anyone even bothered to care for my life..??

sounds fickle right? but then again, there is no harm in trying..i am definitely a mediocre pertaining to internet gadgets..just ample for me to survive but the de facto is i still have a lot to learn..

irrevocably, the existence of this blog is none other than to document special moments in my life regardless being straddle with an audience or not..i believe in the adherence..

may this blog be rife with beautiful events and manage to portray my avidness..
