Life & such

Assalamualaikum & hellooooo February!

Wow…how time flies huh? We have entered the second month of the year man. My colleagues are having Xmas as they just received their annual bonus for the efforts poured in 2014. As for me, I’m just feeling happy for them. Since I have experiences of changing companies, I too have tasted the bitter smile of looking on other’s premium remuneration. My time will come; insyaAllah.

How is the year by far? Nothing much, still. I’m still kicking and rocking my modeling thing though but in a much slower tempo. I’m just not feeling confident with how I look these days or the fact that my body is not in its best shape. I haven’t jog for a while neither go to the gym and this sucks. I wake up 5.15am & I’m freaking tired every day when I arrived home as my task doesn’t end there; it would either be Uncle Din or me to fetch Piya from her play school, then I would have to do the laundry, put dinner on the table, pack Piya’s school bag, hang those clean laundry, fold the previous laundry & cook meals for the next day. Everything must be done by 9pm as I aim to sleep early. Phewww….. #life

A good friend of mine from Proton; Lat (she too has started a new journey with a different company now) gave me a wonderful insight. She told me that I have prayed to Allah SWT for this chance, for this new beginning and Allah SWT bestowed us on things that we can handle. I prayed for this to happen so suck it up & embrace all the hardships. I hate to admit it but she is 100% correct. I may whine once or twice but I’m not regretting any of my decision. I stand by my decision and I’m still going around it to find the best way to accommodate this new life. Goodness gracious me… #lifeagain

There was a casting the other day for a local renown muslimah magazine; Nur. They were scouting for their subsequent front cover girls and their criteria suits me well. I brought 2 of my new friends from PET to give it a try as I truly think they fit the picture. I don’t mind if I’m not selected but I praaaaay my girls would land a chance. You see, I have this odd habit of observing people & beauty is one of the apparent pulling factor. That is why I’m trying my best to introduce my new buddies into this modeling field. I have seen worse but somehow or rather they made it because they have deep passion to strive for it. We’ll see…

Is life going well as I foresee it to be? I guess so. Well… the veracity remains the same though; I’m very much happy now. InsyaAllah..

How's The New Life?

Assalamualaikum & hello there..

Wow….my last blog entry was 7 months ago. Thanks to PR8888 for blocking the page hence the access to even view my blog. Blogging from home? Naaaah… writing is just an escape route from work oppression and I definitely feel happy at home so no; no blogging from home.

Many things have happened; PLENTY. A LOT. For instance the minor surgery that I had in May 2014. It was a difficult choice that I deemed as the best solution but the results left me with mixed feelings. Not to mention how it altered my life. Apart from that, I tendered from PR8888. Tadaaaaa!

Yeaaaaa… that was BIG…. It was hard and BIG.. I never imagined that I would be one of those people who would job-hop after 5 years. I love P88888 but it is just a necessary thing to do. And here I am; serving my current employment at PET88888.

I do hope that my fate with PET88888 would be better. You know, economically better. Especially when I have maximized my credit card. Oh, don't get me wrong. I didn't shop new attire for my new working place. Definitely NO. I just moved in to my own apartment and maaaaan... having your own place is really cash consuming but having your own comfort space makes it totally worth it.

So how is work now? It is hard to say as I have not started much. But one of the things that make me really happy is people I acquainted with from the new executive induction program. I really feel like one of those X-Men dudes and were brought together by Professor X. I feel that I am at the right place. Secure. Happy. And being with people like me; freak. Hahahaha.. Well, that doesn't make any sense for now.

Modeling? Well, I made a silent wish to slower the pace and set my priorities right. The same goes with my devotion to run. Marathons are also put on hold until Uncle Din and I are really settled. There are still a lot of things needed to be done at new home. Plus, Piya has started schooling a new place too. So I'm pretty much occupied with my personal things. But I do entertain special requests from close friends / MUA. This was my latest job I did for my good friend MUA Joy Hussin. I will tell you more about it in a different post :)

MUA Joy Hussin
Kids? Well, I only have Piya for now. Again; I really detest people who would be like “oh! She is so big now. You should definitely multiply. YOU SHOULD.” Dude…….. No matter how hard we make plans, His plans trump ours as His plans are better. So please stop making those suggestion.

Mentioning the obvious.

Wedding Ainul Haliza & Creme De Fume

Assalammualaikum and good morning...

Hello December...! Alhamdulillah.... Syukran. I was quite occupied last weekend and Alhamdulillah I did not had any photo shoot as well. At least that gives me space to attend wedding receptions and mommy-time with Piya. You have no idea the sacrifices my family is willing to make when I am doing any photo shoot / fashion show. They're very understanding and more often than not, they would tag along. So last weekend was paying off some debts.

Ayah was doing work at home so he did not joined us on both days. Sorry ayah, no photos of you this time.  I had 2 wedding receptions and some errands to attend to. So being a mother, I had to prioritize one thing after another and dismiss a few things. I'm truly sorry for unable to commit on some occasions, I hope you can fathom once you have a child on your own yea. *spread love, no war. An ex-schoolmate of mine bite the dust and she personally made an effort to invite me. How can you say no to an old friend who went through thick & thin to invite you? The reception took place at PKPS Shah Alam so yeaaaa, bumped into many Shah Alam folks. Ainul and I known each other since primary school from SRK Raja Muda Sec.4. We were even classmates for 5 years kot at SMSSAAS Sec.2 (Yeaaaap, both schools in Shah Alam and you can find the big McD outlet in between them... Furthermore, my diploma & Degree were in UiTM Shah Alam...... *I'm a boring person... I know that...)

Us with the bride & groom; Dr. Ainul Haliza Binti Dr. Malik & Rasdan
Piya was asleep in the car upon our arrival but thankfully she is not the type of girl who would throw tantrums due to insufficient sleep or having her sleep disturb.

Or not...
She would be a bit blur for a moment and once she is awake, tuh dia! She would start running around the reception hall. Penat mama tau.... I brought Mak Tok along so that Piya is more manageable and thankfully the food was great as expected.

Habes kalori mak taaaaau...
"I'm in no mood laaa Mama......"
Subsequently, we went to Plaza Massalam Sec.9 or more commonly known among Shah Alam folks as Shah Alam Mall (becaaaaaause when it was first existed, it was the only mall in Shah Alam main city apart from PKNS.. Now there is Anggerik Mall, SACC & Plaza Alam Sentral...) Berusaha keras nak pergi Shah Alam sebaaaaab nk redeeem Papa John's 1-inch 1 Ringgit pizza and nak redeem ice-cream at Creme De Fume. Usaha tangga kejayaan!

The ice-cream was quite OK but I would still prefer Lecka-Lecka over it. I redeemed Banana Split because it looked tempting and added some toppings. Funny though I caught the salesboy entering Giant Hypermarket buying some bananas and they were still unripe. So that explains a lot on the bland bitter taste when I was chewing down the bananas.

That was basically what Piya and I did on Saturday. Sunday; requires a different post entry... :)

Thank you for reading..

Stop placing hopes on others

Salam and good morning..

Sweet November.. I love November, very much. I think the reason is quite palpable no? It's my birth month hence the overabundance of love for November is significant to mention. So yeah; I love November so much that sometimes I'm inflicting the pain to myself purposely by placing high hopes on people and hoping for a better fate. That is definitely one of the stink traits about me though. I can't help it.

Baba always (always) remind me the best daddy's advice; Never hope for anything from anyone. Which unfortunately I do. I do placed hopes on certain people in my life especially people within my radius because I was taught that if you do good to others, the favor will be returned in good manners too. Buat baik dibalas baik...? Growing up with deep cuts and deprivations encourages me to lend a hand or a shoulder to cry on whenever a friend is in need. Perennial exasperation taught me to be kind to others as I do not want others to endure the bad experiences I had when I was in their shoes. Be comprehend to others. A wise man once told me; Seek to understand and be understood. That notion has been deeply rooted in my core and has always been at the back of my medulla oblongata.

The purpose of this entry? Since it is my birth month, I'm just reminiscing on the trail of events that took place in my life. Looking back on the things I've done, people I've placed hope, deeds I expected in return (buat baik dibalas baik remember..?) and the most hurtful thought; circumstances / people who have totally crushed my hopes.

I'm just looking back but I'm not jotting the ugly deeds here. Instead, I decided to move forward and dwell with baba's advice; stop placing hope on other people. Stop hoping that people would be thoughtful towards you just because you always think about their welfare. Stop expecting people to be nice to you just because you perceived them as close friends. Most importantly; stop expecting people to follow suit like you. With that, I pray that people who have deter my rainbow kaleidoscope hopes will taste their own medicine someday. I'm tired and I've done my do.

I'm turning 30 next year. I hope I will have a stronger heart to withstand such stupidity derived from ignorance people. I hope I can forgive them.. I really do.

Dear Allah, let November be awesome.. at least for my poor fragile heart..

Kak Aini & Mama Zameer

Salam and hye everyone,

Syukur Alhamdulillah I had a pleasant weekend yesterday. It's been awhile since my weekends are free from any photo shoots and I just make the best out of it. I have been declining birthday invitations, weddings, open houses and other forms of gathering due to work commitment. But last week, I had all the time in the world and what better way to spend it other than attending invitations right?

I had 2 invitations that day; one is from an ex-colleague who held a thanksgiving and the other was visiting a 3 month old baby. My former colleague is Kak Aini who was one of the nicest person I've ever known. Back in the old company, I was kinda been mistreated by the seniors most of the time.

One; it was my 1st job hence I was very green and naive.

Two; my senior and her friends were nasty.

My senior has been working there for 2 years so most of the job loads were entrusted upon her. She was also appointed to guide me and delegate jobs. The thing is; she was so unhappy by the whole arrangement and began talking behind my back. She kept complaining to Kak Aini and other staff that her work is overload, I'm not as occupied as her, etc etc etc. For some reason, she did not told me this but rather chose to continuously talking bad behind my back. The worst part is she pretends to be my best friend and put up a smiling face.

Now one day, a terrible circumstance occurred between  her best friend and I where it ended up that girl was scolded by our superior. Having an axe to grind with is the last thing I ever wanted with anyone especially when you are still green. I can never forget this particular event; normally during lunch time we will head down and buy food from the stalls. I did noticed that my senior was muttering in the phone with someone and normally she would do that with her best friend. The whole conversation was done in discreet so that I was not included in the plan. Cut to the chase; my senior and her stupid best friend collected orders to have McDonald for lunch and they intentionally did not want to include me in the loop. They really think I'm that stupid huh? I overheard Kak Aini said "Ait? Ko tak amek order Dora? Abes tuh Dora makan ape?". Subhanallah, only Allah knows my feeling at that point of time. Ape ko rasa bila satu department makan-makan sedap, sengaja tak amek order ko pastu makan depan ko? Satu department tau. And the mastermind was that stupid best friend.

This thing happened in 2009 and yes it has been 4 years now since that happened. It is really a chip on my shoulder. As Muslims, we must learn to forgive because forgiving is saint. Ignoring is matured right? But I'm just a mere human with a sensitive heart. A leopard can't change his spots you know? There are so many other things that my senior and her friends did to me. The only nice and sober human being was Kak Aini. That is why I made an effort to attend her function despite my tiredness and tight schedule.

If you are nice to me, I'm forever indebted and will always cherish you. If you treat me like crap, you will be totally be insignificant and I'm no longer bothered to be your friend. I won't revenge. Revenge is stupid. I just leave things to Allah. That simple.

Oh my, I've skidded from the focal point of this entry. Aaaarggh. Clearly I have not let go off a few things huh? Hmm whatever laa.. my past is what forms me today.

So here she is; the kind and beautiful Kak Aini. I will never forget the kind things that she has done for me and to meet her again after 4 years we departed ways was truly amazing. We reminisces a lot of our great moments together and frankly I really miss her. Good people deserve to be cherished.

And of course gambar yippiyaya... Bukan main susah nak suruh die focus...

The second agenda of the day was visiting one of the mothers from Cik D; Naa / Mama Zameer. She gave birth to a baby girl exactly 3 months ago and I haven't got the time to visit her. Since Naa lives on the same  lane with Kak Aini, why not hit 2 birds with a stone ya? Meeting Naa has always been so pleasant. Back during the Cik D days, it did took me awhile to open up with her. But Alhamdulillah, we are very close today, many thanks to Cik D for introducing us. We stayed at her place for almost 2 hours! Wow.... so many things to talk about and playing with her serene baby is just fun! The baby keep smiling and doesn't mind the loud-talking-moms.

I attended another thanksgiving / house-warming / birthday party on Sunday. But since there are no photos (Uncle Din was not in the mood : he was tired) so it would be kinda boring to jot that down.

Anyhoo, hope you had a blast weekend. Thank you for reading people.

Ps: How I looked 4 years ago before I consume BBplus Collagen

GetGorgeous 6th Anniversary

GetGorgeous Boutique has a special place in my heart. The owner spotted me while we were doing some fancy business profile photo shoot and later on she offered me to be one of her models. I am forever indebted to her for giving me such an opportunity albeit mere pittance.

Some of the photos representing the boutique

The boutique has exist in abundance for 6 years and June 2013 marks their 6th anniversary. For this reason the humble owners; sibling Azlia Idha and Allia Idha like any other boutiques held a Majlis Kesyukuran to commemorate the profound notion. I was truly moved when Kak Lia texted me to extend an invitation to her function. She has been supportive of my modeling career (modeling laaa sgt!) so I would do anything to return the favor.

CPIC Azlia Idha
The humble sisters; Allia Idha & Azlia Idha

It took me awhile to figure out whom should I bring to the function as I need someone who is keen on on stuff like this. Someone who would appreciate my invitation and wouldn't complain if things turn out wrong against all odds. Thankfully, I have this makcik around.

Tadaaa!

Meet my high school buddie; Hana Ibrahim. She's fickle minded and has a care-free spirit.

As both of us are mothers, we need to make sure that things were settle at home prior to have a now-is-my-fun-time-without-kids. So of course, we arrived kinda late around 2.30pm I think. We stumble upon most of my acquaintances who were leaving the boutique so I thought things would turned plain for us. On the contrary, we were just at the nick of time to join and listen one styling session on how to wear the hijab creatively. Hoyeaaaaaa..! Then the next hour was a session with a male CPIC (Certified Professional Image Consultant) & former entertainer Farah Asyikin. Farah Asyikin just embraced the hijab and she shared her journey towards being a true muslimah. She's very pretty indeed.

Konon focus mendengar CPIC Mas menggayakan tudung

Farah Asyikin manis bertudung kan?
After all that was done, Hana and I were equally excited on the sale items. I grabbed a skirt that I've been eyeing on for months while Hana took home a tweed jacket, palazo pants and twiggy top. Total damage? Around Rm450++... hamek kau...!

My corner * Muka bangga... (-__-)!

My green silky skirt from GetGorgeous!!!

The simple anniversary was truly fun though. The crowd was more than expected hence it became kinda stuffy. The food was too good so we only managed to focus on the candy buffet. Why must you serve marshmallow with the glazy chocolate fountain?? We were so addicted to it and it has spoiled my diet..! aaaaaaaaaaa...

I don't know how long would the boutique maintained me as their model but hey, the boutique will always have my support. Syukur alhamdulillah..
