Kelik Kelate & Photoshoot Hurul Ain

Salam Ramadhan..

I've been planning to balik kampung Kelantan for quite some time as we will be celebrating our Eid in Shah Alam this year. Coincidentally, Nuzul Quran falls during the 3rd week of Ramadhan and Selangor was declared on leave. I'm truly indebted to my colleague mama Aniq who always reminded me to check flight tickets now and then because if you are avid in scouting promo tickets, you might be lucky enough to stumble upon reasonable promotions. Which apparently we did!

We were so lucky to stumble upon cheap flight tickets. A total of 3 people was less than RM300

So our stay in Kelantan was from Thursday to Monday. And I must say I had so much fun and rested during our stay. We arrived on Thursday first thing in the morning. We just let the hours passes by as we were anticipated waiting for breaking fast at 7.31pm. That day, my MIL asked me to accompany her to param (Pasar Ramadhan) at Peringat. To be frank with you; this was actually my 1st visit to any param. I hate params for their spiking price and tasteless food. I couldn't bear the notion. But knowing that my MIL wanted to visit the param, that definitely left me with no other choice. The price in Kelantan is just as similar as in Shah Alam. I was really surprised!

Ulam : sepinggan RM5

Murtabak : Sekeping RM3

Ayam madu : Seketul (dah la kecik) RM5

Kerabu kaki ayam : semangkuk RM5

Air tebu : sebungkus RM5

Haiyaaaaaa..... *belajar bersangka baik.... Anyhoooo, the repertoire we had for breaking fast was awesome! MIL cooked my favourite meals which totally made me feel guilty *the road diverged in the yellow woods... get me? Rasa berbelah bagi? You see, throughout Ramadhan, I don't take rice or oily food during sahur nor breaking fast. Neither ice drinks. I think you know why right? One day prior to Kelantan, my weight was looking good at 63kg (still fat..I know... Better than being at 70kg... Okay, Shut up....) but whilst I was seated in front of these delicious fatty creamy Kelantan foods, I had to wave the white flag. I keep telling and hypnotizing myself "only mere pittance.... you won't get fat... you won't get fat..". Hahahaa, psycho; I know..

Psycho
 Day 1

 Day 2

 Day 3

On Saturday, my in-laws did bekwoh in conjunction with Nuzul Quran and the return of all their children. The bekwoh was awesome! Again; MIL prepared my favourite dish none other than ayam percik okaaaay...  During the bekwoh, I decline rice and consumed more on the dishes. Konon balance laaa... *Shut up......... Sedaaaaaap nyer makanan Kelantan subhanallaaaaaah.... SERIOUSLY SEDAAAAP! Hence, don't stay too long in Kelantan while you're there. I betcha; you will gain weight.. *been there, done that.

Aaaaand this is Piya and I while we were there (*_*)

Our return flight to Subang Airport was on Monday morning at 8.40am. The flight experience some delay and we arrived at Subang around 10.30am instead of 9.40am. Upon returning home, I had to rush and get ready for a photoshoot at Getgorgeous for Hurul Ain Boutique.

In conclusion, I had a wonderful weekend. What about you?

Thank you for reading peeps.

Masjlis Perkahwinan Izzue Islam

Delay delay delay.. My bad.. but work does seem to catch up a lot with me hence the hiatus in commemorating some trails of event.

Ok, earlier this month we attended two weddings; one was a colleague of Uncle Din and the other was well.. Izzue Islam. My in-laws could not attend his wedding as they were here the week before hence it was just too much for their aged body to handle. For this reason, we were asked to represent them and I was soooo willingly happy to do the honors. Hahaha...

 The Invitation card

Us at the 1st wedding reception of a friend

Pok Jue tied the knot on June 2, 2013 with his manager; Awin Nurin. Yesssss, she is more 'mature' than him but then again these are all just part parcel of Allah's plan for His beings. Che Ta nak kawin dengan Zain Saidin rilek jer, so chill la ok.. :) We arrived kinda late though around 2pm and Ijue was already at the high table looking dapper in white. The couple was solemnized earlier on at 9.00 am and was celebrated later on in the afternoon. Most of the imperative family members from Kelantan were there especially his grandma (Mek) and his dad. You see, his mother (CikDah) raised Ijue and his elder brother as a single mother so it is a truly a great day when his dad could make it. The family members were clad in brown while we were in blue as mentioned in the invitation card! Pfffsst... Hence the same old ugly royal blue dress that I've worn so many times. I would have looked suave in my brown dress. Haiyaaaa..

Would you believe it that I sacrifice my meal due to overwhelming adrenalin rush? I know, shame on me. But I thrilled to meet the Forteen and some other celebs for the 1st time! Especially Forteen. I really thought that the band was just another boy band in the scene whereby all they do is pose handsomely like some Dashing advertisement and sing awfully. Indeed, I was wrong. The group is truly a bunch of talented lads with great features. I was mesmerized watching them performing live as their harmonize performance was truly breathtaking. I'm too old for this though. Boyband years are behind me already.

Dahsyat kan pelamin die? Sampai siling.. kelas kau Mak Jah!

Sampai2 kat atas rasa kagum tgk kecantikan pelamin die. Sampai ke siling kot bunga-bunga sakura die. Tema pelamin putih. That is truly the best theme. Tak ramai artis yg datang, maybe Ijue ajak yg rapat dengan die or sume dh bz dgn jemputan masing2. Artis yg saya jumpa Lisa & Yusri, Bento & wife (Bento bukan makanan jepun tuh ke???), Adi Putra & wife, Afiq Muiz & Eina and Rosyam Nor. Adik beradik KRU pon ader tapi saya tak minat. How were they? Well, things are better left unsaid. Some were truly nice while some were truly annoying & snobbish. Xmo minat dah kat awok! *tongue

"Sayang, nape you duduk? I diri sorang2..??"
"Dah Ijue ajak.. xkan nak tolak? Sorry, cannot resist.. Hahhaaa.."

Dan inilah yang kami dapat sebagai door gift. Nak bukak pon sayang tau so door gift ini masih berbalut cantik lagi tanpa disentuh.

Syukur alhamdulillah adik Ijue dah selamat mendirikan rumah tangga.. Kak Dora dan Abe jue doakan yang terbaik buat awak.. Ramai peminat (termasuk saya) keciwa awak dah kawen... dat's normal... hehehee.... InsyaAllah dapat jumpa lagi masa Raya tahun ini..

Amiiin..

Zoo Negara with Family Kelantan

Last weekend my in-laws were in town as my SIL Kak Ani just had her graduation day at PWTC. Usually when my PIL are here, we would crash at Uncle Din’s sister at Sepang. So you can imagine how chaotic was the vicinity with the children running around practicing their vocal cords and stretching their quadriceps muscles. Little Piya joined the crowd too; and her pitch was the highest due to excitement! It was so annoying but this keeps them happy so I just shut one eye. At least I had some me-time to play with my Angry Bird and whatsapp with friends.

Prior to heading to Sepang, I did broach the topic of taking Piya to Zoo Negara and I remember saying that it would be more fun if the kids (yeap, Kak Ani’s children) to join us. So last weekend was a perfect timing to make that happen and Alhamdulillah everyone agreed to my notion. The best part was the children were very happy when they heard the news. One of my nephews even said “Yess! I have always wanted to go there and I’ve waited so long!”.. Yeah kids… Wait until you see the tickets..

We detoured to Putrajaya's Lake around Pullman Hotel to snap some shots. Memang cantik laaa tempat nih... Next time laa kot... This time nak gi Zoo Negara!

Eventually we made it to the Zoo Negara on a beautiful Sunday around afternoon. My goodness; the weather was so great! It was like as if the clouds were having second thought; to rain or not to rain? It didn’t rain though but it was cloudy which is good because I forgot to bring my sun block. Any girl with a sound mind detests the caprice to walk a few kilometers under the heat right? Konon akan hitam laaa… Pening laaa… Puteri Lilin… Like me! hehehe…

Nampak excited kan? Tapi sape paling excited tau?

Once we passed the entrance bar, an overflowing excitement ensued to begin our tour. I never knew that going to the zoo was so much fun! I felt like a kid again blithely taking picture of the animals and even tried to ‘talk’ with them until my niece said “Cik Su… bukan mcm tuh laaa nak ckp dengan kuda.. kena mcm nih heee-hwooo”. Funny… I was even more enthused that I don’t have to bother to push Piya’s stroller as Maa voluntarily offered. With that, I had the liberty to camwhore as much as I please. Weeeeeeeeee….

Can you believe it that Uncle Din snapshot my rear? He says it's big and I needed to see it... Sabor jer laaa...Ok laaa... Some shots of the animal kingdom.

It was irrefutably a great outdoor activity with Uncle Din’s family. Who would knew I could bond with the in-laws so well. Almost all... (-_-) We departed around 3pm with a sweet after-taste and I felt so happy following the event. And of course Uncle Din was very glad that I had a great time with his family.
So if you are wondering what sort of activity that you can expose your children to, I would reckon that the zoo is a great spot for bonding especially if you like being close to nature.

But the best part of this whole sweat-shedding activity is this.......

Baby pengsan kepenatan.... Which also means Mama has plenty of rest time to rest at home.. Yesss!
